The Red House Mystery is a detective novel written by A.A. Milne. Unlike his famous Winnie-the-Pooh stories, this book is a classic murder mystery. The story revolves around the murder of a wealthy man at his country estate, the Red House, during a weekend gathering. Amateur detective Marlowe investigates the crime, using keen observation and logic to uncover the murderer. The novel is praised for its clever plot, suspenseful storytelling, and engaging characters, making it a memorable early 20th-century mystery.

A. A. Milne

A. A. Milne was an English writer renowned for creating the beloved children's character Winnie-the-Pooh. Born Alan Alexander Milne in London, he attended Westminster School and later studied mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge. While at Cambridge, he edited the student magazine Granta and developed a passion for writing. Milne's inspiration for Winnie-the-Pooh came from his son's teddy bear, originally named Edward, who was renamed Winnie after a bear at the London Zoo. The popularity of these characters led to the creation of Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928), which became classics of children's literature.
